Financial data & Plaid

Last updated: April 13, 2026

Notice: Customize institution names, product name, and support contacts for your deployment. Plaid’s own terms and privacy policy apply to their services.

Layered relationship

When you connect a financial institution through PocketFlow, you interact with Plaid’s Link interface. Plaid retrieves data you authorize and shares it with PocketFlow as needed to provide features (e.g., balances and transactions). Your institution’s agreements may also apply.

What we receive

Typically: institution identifiers, account names and masks, account types, balances, and transaction details available from Plaid for the products you enable. We encrypt Plaid access tokens at rest.

What we do not do

We do not ask you for your bank password in our own UI for Plaid-linked institutions; authentication is handled by Plaid and your bank. We do not sell your bank credentials.

Data accuracy & availability

Information depends on your institution and Plaid. Delays, omissions, or categorization errors can occur. PocketFlow is not responsible for third-party data accuracy.

AI analysis of financial data (if enabled)

PocketFlow may use derived financial signals (such as totals and recurring-charge patterns) to generate AI-assisted budgeting suggestions. This analysis is informational only and not professional advice. Verify all AI output before acting.

Disconnecting

You may disconnect accounts from PocketFlow where the product allows it. You may also manage or revoke access through your bank and Plaid’s consumer portal as described in Plaid’s documentation.
